About Sabar
My name is Aminata Alexandra, creator of the Sabar brand. Inspired by my Senegalese roots and passionate about the art of scented atmospheres, I wanted to create a brand that tells a story, that of Senegalese warmth and conviviality. The name Sabar was not chosen by chance: it evokes the traditional drum and the dance of the same name, a symbol of communion and energy that brings people together to the rhythm of the percussions. In the past, these drums even served as a means of communication, allowing villages to transmit messages up to 15 kilometers away, connecting communities beyond visible borders.
Through my creations, I want to capture the essence of this tradition, where each fragrance, each flame, becomes an invitation to travel, a way to bring home a little of this warmth that animates the streets of Dakar. At Sabar, we put our heart into each piece to offer much more than a perfume: a connection, an emotion, an experience that vibrates.

We attach great importance to the selection of our raw materials. Our waxes are European, the stearin is of controlled origin, and our perfumes, carefully chosen in Grasse, guarantee a high-quality sensory experience. We also favor safe ingredients and avoid animal waxes, for creations that respect our values and are accessible to all.
Commitment to a Responsible Approach
As a small business, we do our best to limit our environmental impact. Our containers come from Asia due to constraints related to our size, but we avoid unnecessary plastic as much as possible, opting for cardboard, honeycomb paper and eco-responsible materials. We plan to favor local suppliers as soon as possible, in a spirit of transparency and progress towards a shorter circuit.
